Have you ever thought about all of the things that you can do with your cell phone? The list is probably limitless depending on what type of phone you carry. So let’s assume for the moment, that you just have a Plain Jane, flip cell phone. What can you do with it? Well, for starters you can make calls and receive calls, and yes, that is a given since that is why you carry the cell phone. What else can you do though? Well, you can send and receive text messages. The phones themselves give you options for setting up your text messaging capabilities. Some phones come with pre-text phrases such as how are you, call me, come over or are you busy? Some cell phones have what is called T9 words and that is where it tries to put the words together based on the number you are pushing.

What else might you be able to do with your cell phone? Most cell phones these days come with camera functions that allow you to take pictures or make small videos. Wasn’t it just a few years ago that camcorders were invented so we could carry them around and take videos of our children doing cool things and send those videos to their grandparents. That is not necessary any more, you can now use your cell phone and it even saves you a step because you can just email the video using your cell phone to those grandparent’s phone, or straight to their computer.

What else can you do using your cell phone? Well, you can access the internet and check for work and personal emails. You can twitter, check your Facebook profile, update your status and make dinner reservations. You can buy tickets for an upcoming concert, check your bank account, pay bills and make your travel arrangements, and you can do all of this without dialing a number or talking to a person. Unbelievable, right? Well, maybe if you are new to some of the cell phone technology that is available this might be hard to believe.

Most business entrepreneurs already know the ins and outs of the top of the line Iphones that are available on the market these days and make use of them. It keeps them in touch with their network and they have the capability at the touch of a finger to make sure that their business is doing what needs to be done on a daily basis. It allows them to be free to make business or sales calls, or pick up supplies, or any number of other tasks necessary for running a business.

For college students, they also can search the internet to help them with papers, find books or get in touch with their professors. It is amazing what can be done with a cell phone. Plus, there is the fun stuff like playing games, downloading music and ringtones to your phones. Most cell phones are personalized to the user’s needs, wants and addictions, whether that would be twittering or keeping up with your MySpace account, or your updating your Facebook status, or just keeping in touch with those necessary to keep your business going.
